Content Marketing for Business Growth [2025]

It’s 2025. And there’s never been a better time to create your content marketing for business growth strategy.

If you’ve followed any recent 2025 content marketing trends, you’ve likely heard the dreaded message that “SEO IS DEAD.”

Don’t let me stop you from playing “Ding Ding! The Witch is Dead” on repeat. But SEO is not dead, and investing and mapping out your content marketing strategy is wise. (Even if that makes making changes to what you’ve always done.)

Here’s why.

Content Marketing for 2025

Content Marketing for Business Growth

According to DemandMetric, content marketing costs 62% less than traditional marketing. If you’re looking to use content marketing for business growth, it’s affordable. Your website likely already has the option to host a blog. You’ll just need to make a few changes to activate it and make it visible.

You can start content marketing for free if you’re a savvy writer. Or, if you need a little help with writing (and there’s no shame there!), you can hire a freelance writer to help you create content.

But don’t just create a blog post and call it done. If you really want to get the most out of your time and efforts, turn your blog post into a short-form video.

HubSpot says short-form video is the latest content marketing trend. Plus, your audience is interested in this channel. This is why TikTok is so popular and why LinkedIn is pushing video content.

It’s pretty easy to turn a blog post into a video—especially with AI. Here’s how:

  • copy and paste your blog post
  • pop it into ChatGPT
  • Ask it to write a short-form video script from the podcast
  • Record your video using the script

The whole process takes about five minutes—promise!

Whatever route you choose, whether it’s a blog post or (and!) video, your content needs to speak directly to your audience. There’s no better way to do that than by getting right into the mind of your ideal audience.

How content marketing works

When it comes to using content marketing for business growth, you’ve got to make sure your content is what your audience wants and needs to listen to, hear, or read. If your content is not compelling, they’ll navigate off the page or scroll to the next video.

It’s helpful to keep your audience in mind when creating content. Think about:

  • Their interests
  • Their pain points
  • The keywords they’re searching

These three things can help you create content that:

  1. Your audience wants (and needs!)
  2. Plays nice with the SERPs

Creating a blog with videos and updating it with fresh content means you are the number one source potential customers trust to give them accurate and reliable information about your product or service.

Your blog (and social media accounts because you need a place to promote your content) become your voice and the face of your online presence. In many cases, a strong online presence leads to more customers.

Remember DemandMetric that I mentioned earlier? They also report that businesses that use content marketing gain an average of 67% more leads than businesses that do not have a blog.

Is content marketing right for your business?

You may be sitting in your comfy chair thinking, “I already run a business… is starting a blog really worth it?”

If this is your thinking, let me ask you one question: do you want your business to succeed online?

A group of marketers sit around a table to discuss content marketing for business growth.

Think about customers who hop online to research a product or service they are considering purchasing. Whose content are they reading?

If you don’t have a blog, customers won’t read your content, and they won’t purchase your products or services either—because you’re not visible!

Content marketing is the first step to getting your brand in front of your audience.
